What is Genie looking at? by volkanersoy What is Genie looking at? by volkanersoy
My cat Genie is looking down the cardbox he is on. There is no Photoshop with this but maybe you can place some object in front of him under Photoshop :) Inform me if you use it.

Why did you call...him (?) Genie? It's a nice unusual name... :)

hehe. Actually his name is Cin (in Turkish it means genie, but spelled just like "gin"). It has a double meaning in Turkish: If you say "he's like a genie", it means he is cunning, clever, vivacious and full of tricks. :D

You put him inside the studio ? :D

That's a home-made studio: a small place in my bedroom, cheap (about $40) lighting equipment, not-so-cheap plastic curtain as a backdrop (another $40)... :D

I need to set my self such a "studio" too...
I just need first to get a good wide-angle lens

I just got back from England and there from the Sigma 12-35mm (or some thing like that)
they wanted 400 GBP (about $800)

So I didn't bought it.... yet :)

I will be in the USA on the end of the month or maybe next month
I will check prices there as well

Need some thing ? ;)

It's 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 and said to be a very good lens. It's in my list, too. It's around $670 on B&H Photo. And there is Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5, which is said to be sharper than 12-24mm. And it's about $580.

Thank you for the offer. ;) Joking aside, some friends here visit USA every now and then and they also ask me if I need something from there.

12-24mm for $580 is possible for my budget
the question if it got any further features ?
(IS or USM ?)

It's $670, 15-30mm is $580.

No features. But IS (or in the case of Sigma, OS) is not necessary for wide angle lenses. You can't add a front filter, either (because of the portruding front lens element). But you can add rear gelatin filter.

Here it is: [link]

And here is 15-30mm lens: [link]

ICQ-MSN cok zamanimi aliyor, calisirken isimi boluyor, kusura bakmayin.
