"Iftar" is the breaking of the Ramandan fast in the Islamic religion. For several years, certain municipalities in Istanbul started to build big tents as "soup kitchens" to help poor people to break their Ramadan fast. They also showed a central place for caterers who sell snack food to those who want to break their fast together. Those places become crowded as hell when the iftar time arrives. One of those gathering places is located at Sultanahmet (the old Roman Hippodrome) and some people bring their food with them to break their fast when the lights of the minarets are on to signal the iftar time. This photograph shows the Blue Mosque and it's located just beside the Hippodrome. People gather here on the benches with their food, waiting for that signal. It also shows that they are having their first bites as the lights of the minarets are just on.

PS: The quality of the photo was very poor because of the poor lighting conditions and you can see that I tried hard to save it under Photoshop. I submitted it for the sake of the moment, not for it's technical qualities.
